This copy of Aperture Numbers 83 and 84 features August Sander – Photographs of an Epoch 1904-1959. On the cover is a photograph of Pharmacist, Lintz, by August Sander. This Aperture Monograph accompanied the exhibition held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from March 1 through April 27, 1980.
This softcover book is used but in good condition. The edge on the right side of the cover shows wear. The edge of the front cover and a few of the pages that follow have a small crease near the edge. This catalog is clean and the interior is unmarked.
This issue contains a preface from Beaumont Newhall, excerpts from the writings of Sanders and his contemporaries, a chronology and bibliography and photographs in black-and-white
